On the 11th of May, Kasper Salto received the Finn Juhl Prize 2010. The award ceremony was held at Ordrupgaard. The jury mentioned in their speech that Kasper was awarded because of he is able to combine his carpentry skills with a rear understanding of the fact that the most simple details are in fact the most difficult.
Ordrupgaard is a state-owned art museum situated north of Copenhagen, Denmark. The museum houses one of Northern Europe’s most considerable collections of Danish and French art from the19th and beginning of the 20th century. The museum’s extension is designed by architect Zaha Hadid. In 2008 the furniture designer Finn Juhl’s house has become part of Ordrupgaard.
