CREATING THE NEXT GENERATION

For 6 months during 2009, students from the Danish Design School in collaboration with Kvadrat and Republic of Fritz Hansen™ worked for a semester on creating the next generation of upholstered furniture. A series of workshops were held throughout the 6 month period where the users, materials, processes and the aesthetics were investigated, discussed, developed and experimented with. The ambition was to develop 1:1 models of the final ideas. Below you can see the final outcome and sketch work from during the design process. You are welcome to drop by and see the exhibition that will be on show at Republic of Fritz Hansen’s showroom in Copenhagen until the 17th of February.
